The process of applying to several colleges is very stressful for high school seniors who are already weighted down with school work and activities. It is a very time consuming process, and some applications may take more than 25 hours to complete. We begin to collect application materials during the spring of their junior year, and students begin the application process the summer before the senior year. Using a workshop format, we walk students through the Common Application, the Coalition Application, The UC Application and the CSU Application. We assist with all other applications and, upon request, do a thorough review of each application prior to submission in an effort to reduce mistakes. Colleges have different application requirements and different deadlines and we teach the student to keep track of the information for each school. Meeting early deadlines can also give the student access to scholarships, he/she may not otherwise be eligible for. Prior to filling out the applications, we guide students through all the information that may be requested. Such information may include the following:
- Application general information
- Academic summary (courses, grades, and test scores)
- Extracurricular activities with descriptions
- Letters of recommendation
- Various School Reports
- Transcript
- Essays (Personal Statement, Personal Insight Questions, and supplemental essays)
We help make this stressful process easier and help the student achieve better results!
