Proprietary Software

With our program, you get access to our proprietary college planning software, College Planner Pro. This software engages students by centralizing all their college tasks, organizing their college list, and providing them with a database of over 3,000 college profiles to help make their research and exploration more efficient. This software will let students and parents interact with the counselor, track applications, organize essays and much more. It will help students stay on track.

One on One Coaching and Consulting

Students and parents are not left to navigate the process on their own. Through in-person meetings, texts, emails, well-timed assignments and individualized instructions, students are able to complete applications in a timely fashion making them eligible for little-known Early Action scholarships. Our process takes a lot of stress off of parents and students.

Academic Planning

Students are given academic advisement including course selection and other suggestions to enhance and strengthen their transcript. We also work with students to help them decide if they should take the SAT/ACT, when to take it, and whether they should submit it or not. We offer a diagnostic exam to determine which test, ACT or SAT, is best for them and what their score might be. Once that is determined, we help them with a study plan.

essay development

Beginning with brainstorming, topic development and discussion, we help students develop the best topics for their essays that demonstrate their leadership skills and other traits that help them stand out. Besides live workshops, we provide video instruction for various types of essays, and essay tracking. We also provide essay editing and revisions with our expert essay coaches.

Major and Career Planning

Through a series of activities and discussions, we guide students to a major that will assure that they will stay on track to graduate with a major that will lead them to a successful career. Our assessments are based on their academic aptitude, interests, and personality. Our software includes You Science and My Majors among other career websites.

College Search and List Building

Through conversations and surveys, we determine the criteria that make up the “perfect” college for each student. The criteria might include weather, size, and location among other things. And of course, the major is at the top of the list. We provide them with a list of “best-fit” schools. Students are taught how to research each college when making their application final list and they make their decisions.

Application Guidance and Support

Prior to starting the applications, we help students gather all the information they will need for the application. We also help them develop strategies for getting the best letters of recommendation from their teachers. We provide them with a "pre-application" form, which gathers information they will need in order to complete the applications. We do instructional application workshops and individual application reviews with each student.

Extracurricular advisement

We work with students to help them enhance the activities they are already doing to make their application more appealing to colleges. We also advise students in ways that will enhance their application through extracurricular activities and/or research suggestions. We help students prepare a robust resume for their college applications, letters of recommendation and scholarships.

Instructional Workshops

Our live workshops set us apart from the large, impersonal, college planning companies. Students have a great time hanging out with their friends as we guide them through filling out each application. Our workshops are small, with between 5 and 10 students, so we have a lot of fun doing stressful activities. After the workshop, we schedule a one-on-one review. While the bulk of our students are local, we also provide the same personal assistance to out-of-towners through Zoom and video workshops!
